Welcome to the home of the Plaza Bears.  Plaza Elementary is a neighborhood school built in 1961.  It is so much a part of the community that many of our former students, as adults, move back into the area so their children can begin their educational experience at Plaza.  We boast of an outstanding faculty and staff dedicated to improve teaching and learning, great students, and a true membership among home, school and community.  Our PTA plays an active role in the lives of our students providing their time and effort in support of our students.  Plaza Elementary stresses high academic expectations, character building, and citizenship qualities.

In August of 1999 Plaza completed an expansive renovation project.  The renovation provided a modernized multimedia center, a multimedia technology lab, an enlarged main office, guidance and clinic areas plus a new instructional wing.  The beautiful addition provided additional classroom spaces plus specially designed art and music areas.  We are truly exited about our "new" school.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Plaza Elementary School’s web site. My name is Chris Tsitsera and it is my honor to serve as the assistant principal of this outstanding year round school. I look forward to working with this wonderful community in providing our students the opportunity to receive the best education possible in preparing them for future success.
